There are few photographers out there like Daniel Doyle Pleasantville. He has gone the distance whenever it comes to making a living out of a photography business. He has recently been able to go full-time as a photographer here in Pleasantville. Dan Doyle Pleasantville has come to us today with information that can most certainly help other photographers achieve their dreams in this industry.
Hello Dan, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I would love to. My name is Dan Doyle, and I am a full-time photographer here in Pleasantville. I have been practicing photography my entire life and love what I do. I always knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I have taken my craft and turned it into a lucrative business that has given me the flexibility to pursue other ventures.
What are your focus areas and why?
Photography is my absolute passion in life. I believe that I am providing people with a valuable service that can enrich their lives through the power of art.
Where did your passion for photography come from?
I had a hard time expressing myself whenever I was younger. I was the artistic id in school who used art as a means to express whatever I was feeling. Photography allowed me to see the world through a different perspective and tell stories that no one could imagine. I learned that I had a knack for it and wanted to pursue it further. I have been honing my skills ever since I was young and want to continue learning about this wonderful art.
How has the move back to your hometown of Pleasantville, Ohio influenced your photography?
There is something bittersweet about moving back home. You can see things from a different view after you’ve grown up a bit. I had mostly positive experiences in Pleasantville whenever I lived there. However, I was older now and could appreciate certain things more than I used to whenever I was young. It gave me a sense of calm that allowed me to focus on my business more. I felt happy and energized to start this business and create my legacy.
What has been the greatest challenge you have had to overcome?
There was a lot of financial struggle in the beginning. There were times when I didn’t think I would make rent. However, I kept pushing forward knowing that all of my efforts would pay off.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned since starting your own studio?
The most important lesson that I have learned is that everything takes time. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was anyone else’s business. You have to nurture it like you would anything else that matters in life.
What has been your greatest success story?
Opening my own studio. Many photographers will never get to that point in their career. Fortunately, my hard work and perseverance paid off. My studio is my life now, and I couldn’t be happier.
What makes for the perfect photo?
The best photos are the ones that are caught in the moment. The subjects in the photo need to be unsuspecting that they’re actually in a photograph. There are so many subtle actions that we do whenever we aren’t thinking about it. Being able to capture those at the moment makes a perfect photograph.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I spend a lot of time on Netflix. Photography can be draining sometimes if I do it for hours on end. Netflix is a great way for me to relax and see the world through a different perspective through fiction. Some of my favorite shows have helped me become a better person by teaching me lessons through the characters’ actions.
