Interview with Renu Bansal: Co-Founder YepOffers

YepOffers, an international website offering customers promo codes from thousands of merchants that has rapidly increased its operations to more than 20 countries across the globe. The latest addition to the list is Yepoffers.com Australia, which is up and running with more than 120 local and international stores and 1050 coupons and deals.

YepOffers.com was founded in early 2017 and started as a small start-up providing coupon codes in the middle-east countries, where it is popularly known as UAE YepOffers. With the recent addition of Australia, it now serves all major countries in the APAC region, including Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

We spoke with Renu Bansal, co-founder of Yepoffers, who is also responsible for the technology and business operations of the company.

Hello, Renu. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your platform?

I am the co-founder and director of YepOffers.com, one of Asia’s rapidly growing e-commerce companies. I am responsible for managing our complex technology platform, day-to-day business operations and long-term strategy implementation. I love to travel and have visited more than 10 countries, including Australia where I have lived for 8 years. Australia has always been very close to me and hence I decided to launch our site operations in AU, which is one of my favorite places on the planet.

What are your immediate focus areas and why?

Being a female business owner is challenging in this immensely competitive male-dominated coupons industry, and I find that consistent hard work and proper planning is most crucial to success. Short innings do not work out well in the coupons industry. My immediate focus areas are to provide the best discounts on the platform for users, staying ahead of our competitors, get exclusive marketing tie-ups with smaller brands and improve our platform UI/UX to make it user friendly while continuing to offer the best deals, discounts and promo codes to all visitors.

How would you describe “YepOffers” in simple words?

Helping online shoppers to find the best coupons, offers and promo codes so that they spend less every time they go online to shop. With more than 1 million ecommerce sites in the world, today’s shoppers find themselves lost and eventually end up paying more for the products and services that might be available for cheaper elsewhere. We let customers know about the best sales and offers to give customers a great bargain price.

Tell us about how you help your customers find deals around the world.

Prior to launching YepOffers in Australia, we went live in UAE, Saudi Arabia, other south-east asian countries, and now have a presence in Europe, Africa, and America. Most of the major local and international ecommerce players operating in these geographies are already listed with us, including Citybeach, Aliexpress, Shein, Gearbest, Uber, Dominos, Almosafer, Rehlat and thousands of others. Once customers are on our site, they can easily navigate through countries and search for the brands or merchants where they want to shop, and we’ll show them the running promo codes and deals. It’s such an easy process to get extra savings on shopping and travel bookings.

Categories on the site show all top coupons and offers for travel, fashion, shoes, cosmetics, mobiles, electronics, etc.

So, you’ve literally worked with thousands of online merchants! Which are your top partners?

We consider those merchant partners the best who offer the best product price to our customers. In Australia, we are going live with Iherb, Photobook, Myprotein, Citybeach, Surfstitch, JD Sports, Kogan, Agoda, Europcar and many others. Surfstitch promo code at Yepoffers is currently giving users up to a 25% discount. Up to 50% extra discount codes are usually available on the site as well.

Where do you think “YepOffers.com” is making an impact?

Being able to help online shoppers save money, and to be able to provide the best vouchers, promo codes and sale offers is an amazing feeling, especially when you are a female, as no one loves discount shopping more than us. Most people in Australia today know about coupons and how beneficial they are. By visiting our site, they realize how much money they would have spent if they had not visited YepOffers. So many people search for promo codes on google.com.au every day, many of them find us in the top results, like our offerings and become our regular visitors without ever feeling the need of searching for other coupon websites.

What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while building “YepOffers Australia”?

Having lived in Australia, I am well aware of the online shopping landscape of the country. Knowledge about what people look for while shopping online, their needs and what kinds of offers are most useful to them helped us immensely. One of the biggest challenges for us was to forge partnerships with good merchants and getting the working promo codes so that our visitors always get the best discounts.

Do you also have a YouTube channel? Tell us about how it helps customers.

Yes, we do have a youtube channel. We started it very recently. Videos on the channel are mostly “How To” videos, where we explain to users the steps of getting a coupon code and applying it on the merchant website. Here is a recent video about Trip.com promo code for Yepoffers Singapore Users.

Thank you so much for your time today, Renu. Any last words you want to share with our readers?

Thank you to Erikawithak for featuring me on this wonderful platform to talk about YepOffers.com.  For future entrepreneurs my few cents of advice – try to be consistent with your efforts, give your 100%, be patient, compete with yourself rather than your competitors and be better than what you were yesterday. Success will definitely come to your door!

YepOffers is very social and posts regularly on social media including Pinterest, Twitter and Google Plus.
